To maximize the use of SPARC resources, in particular equipment, researchers working in the same geographic region are encouraged to form research clusters and to apply for support as a group. The ability of the project to be clustered with other projects in way that increases the cost-effectiveness of equipment and staff deployment will be taken into consideration when selecting projects for support.
More information on how to join or establish research clusters and working groups will be available soon.
Researchers collaborating with or receiving support through SPARC are encouraged to participate in thematic working groups. Working groups should provide opportunities to share methods and compare case studies. SPARC will support working group collaboration by providing virtual meeting spaces and facilitating document exchange and storage. We see working groups as particularly important for students and young researchers looking to broaden their knowledge about a thematic area.
